As a basic principle, my lessons depend on my students' wishes and objectives.
My lessons focus on modern drum-set playing with technique and coordination exercises to promote flexibility on the drum-set. Following the American model, I use the fundamental styles of music (Rock, Pop, Funk, Latin, Jazz) by means of which I teach my students technical skills as well as a perception of rhythmical relationships.
Another important part are play-alongs in order to detect the certain features of each style and to study and maintain a feeling for the basic function of a modern contemporary drummer, such as playing in time, groove, fills, or solos.
The concept is created to deliver a great verstility of technical skills, musicality, and background information to increase the studentīs creativity and indivdual expression on the drum-set.
